History

ARC, named for the arc segment of a circle, was started in 1969 by Jim Bateman in his garage on the Westside of Evansville. ARC grew to become one of the largest, most well-known construction companies in the southern Indiana tri-state area under Danny Bateman, President from 1984-through 2016. Effective January 2017, his son, Jamie Bateman became President.

The first building constructed by ARC was a church at the corner of Bellemeade and Cullen Avenues on the eastside of Evansville. Today, this is the site of the Milestones Childcare Facility. ARC completed the transition from a church to this facility in 2000 and it’s just one of the numerous instances in which ARC built the original building and then performed renovations years later.

Over the years, ARC expanded into Illinois and Kentucky. ARC’s primary geographical market now encompasses a 100-mile radius around Evansville, Indiana. ARC’s rich history has always included a commitment to providing the highest quality service to its clients and strives for continued success in the future.
